How much is your time worth to you?

As the old adage goes, time is money.

Time is something that most of us like to think we manage well. Truth is it’s often the last thing we actually think about. No wonder so many small business managers and sole traders frequently say such things as ‘There just aren’t enough hours in the day’ or ‘I haven’t had time to do the things I planned’, or even ‘I don’t know where the week’s gone!’

Running a successful business, however big or small, relies a great deal on the management of time. It’s a priceless commodity.

“And then one day you find
Ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run
You missed the starting gun”

Roger Walters – Pink Floyd

As business minded people we are all aware that time spent on tasks which don’t make money is in effect time wasted.

But what do we actually do about it?

Well, many are now outsourcing to virtual assistants, and those that have are finding that they are making substantial increases in their profits.

Once business owners became aware of the services I provide here at Virtuoso PA many other small businesses and sole traders asked if I could also help them. What they have wanted to know was, could I take on all those tedious tasks that were time inefficient.

And that’s exactly what I’m here for!

They realised they were spending far too much of their time on admin tasks instead of actually building their business, but didn’t know how to go about changing things. What they wanted to be doing was concentrating on their core business activities. When they did, not only did they find that their business profits increased, they actually found that they had more time to enjoy the rewards with family & friends.

The Federation of Small Business found that owners of small firms spend four days (over 33 hrs) per month dealing with business administration and only 8.5 hrs dealing with business development. You can read their findings here Federation of Small Businesses

So if you are ‘wasting your time’, and I mean that in the nicest possible way, then please do get in touch. Outsource with me and you’ll enjoy all the benefits my current clients are getting, delegating such tasks as:

  • Bookkeeping
  • Social Media Management
  • Mail Shots
  • Sourcing new suppliers
  • Sending out Quotes and Invoices
  • Chasing for late payments
  • Marketing
  • Customer care

And all the other time consuming tasks that get in the way of actually doing your job! It’s shocking to think that many small business owners spend so much time dealing with tasks someone else can complete and in the fraction of the time.

I provide professional and efficient marketing, administration and business support for all types of businesses and sole traders throughout Devon and the South-West. What’s more, I offer a bespoke service, doing exactly what you want me to do. At a fraction of the price of hiring new staff or even a temp.

It really is like having your own right hand man, but without the cost of employing anyone! You can spend as little or as much as you choose and it won’t take long to discover just how worthwhile it is.

Some of the concerns my clients had were along these lines:

Yes, we know we urgently need help but:

  • “We can’t afford a full time person.”
  • “Temporary staff are too expensive, and we never know who we’re getting.”
  • “Our requirements are ad-hoc – one month we only need a few hours’ help and the next a few days.”

I’ve been able to meet all these concerns, and I can do the same for you. I will save you time, and time after all means money, that’s a fact.
