I’ve been a Lastpass premium user for a number of years. As a Virtual Assistant who supports multiple clients’ in my opinion it is the best, most secure password management service available.
In short, passwords unlock everything we do online! If you find it difficult to remember one or two passwords imagine having to remember without writing them down over 50. It’s impossible.
Before I started to use Lastpass I was sloppy with password storage. Before I’m berated; this was 5 years ago when I first set up my virtual assistant business.
It’s all too easy when you have multiple clients’ using many applications and software to start out sloppy. I used to store passwords in a non-encrypted database in plain text. Back then I was a hackers dream target.
Lastpass is a browser extension, it generates and allows you to manage encrypted passwords.
The best most secure passwords to use are complex and not easily remembered; unless !*@ahr^” means something to you. Lastpass removes the hassle of having to remember.
For every password you save, you’ll see a “share button.” Click on it and enter the email address you want to share the password with.
All you need is a master password to access your database. So, just one password for you to remember, with no dodgy unsecured way of remembering them. Hooray!
The last thing you want or need is to know your clients passwords. With this amazing browser extension you can share the password without making it visible to the client or subcontractor who you’re sharing it with, and they’ll only be able to login via autofill. The latter option allows for maximum security when sharing.
